Let’s Rally for REAL Constitutional Carry!
Gun Owners of America had a great turnout during the last three committee meetings in the House and Senate. And we’ve convinced several lawmakers that the current bills don’t go far enough.
Rep. Paula Stark (Kissimmee-R) stated during the last committee meeting that the bill isn’t Constitutional Carry because it doesn’t repeal gun free zones and does not include Open Carry. Even one of the Senate’s most anti-gun Senators, Sen. Jason Pizzo (D-Miami-Dade), said that the bill doesn’t really give gun owners what they want!
But the most important thing is that GOA got Gov. DeSantis on record. He supports Open Carry, wants it added to the current legislation, and he even called out the Republican controlled legislature for their failure to include it! Watch this video where GOA’s Erich Pratt recounts the story and plays the audio.
That’s where you come in. I need you to be loud and proud and slam the legislature with the truth. Tell them you want Open Carry and you support the Governor’s call for adding Open Carry to the bills.
Today, the Governor reiterated his call for Open Carry, and he stated that Illinois and New York (the only two other states without Open Carry) are “not the group of states we want to be in.”
CALL THE HOUSE SPEAKER (850-717-5019) AND THE SENATE PRESIDENT (850-487-5028) AND TELL THEM YOU WANT OPEN CARRY ADDED TO HB 543 & SB 150!
Tell them:
1. You support REAL Constitutional Carry like the other 25 states that allow permitless carry for both Open and Concealed Carry.
2. You support the Governor’s call for adding Open Carry to the bills.
3. And you no longer want Florida to join the only two other states (Illinois and New York) that don’t allow for Open Carry.
Make Sure to Come to the Capitol!
I need to ask one more important thing of you. Please show up at the Capitol and let them know where you stand. Of course, the legislature is playing fast and loose by scheduling the final hearing with less than a few days’ notice.

Register to speak by clicking HERE. It takes you straight to the Senate’s appearance form. Unlike the Florida House, you cannot register electronically for the Senate. You must print the appearance form and present it in person to the Senate Sergeant At Arms at the committee chambers.
Please complete the appearance form as instructed, print it, and present it in person to the Committee.
For parking, go to Kleman Plaza Parking Garage (306 S Duval St, Tallahassee, FL 32301). It is next to the State Capitol Complex. To gain entry to the Capitol, you must enter through the “East Plaza” entrance located in the courtyard between the Old Capitol and New Capitol buildings.
Additionally, since this is a legislative meeting, per FL Statute Chapter 790, firearms cannot be carried into the committee chambers. If you wish to speak, you cannot have a firearm or weapon on your person.
I hope see you there. Remember, our national motto is “e pluribus unum,” which is Latin for “out of many, one.” Working together, speaking loudly with ONE voice, we can get a real Constitutional Carry bill with Open Carry as part of it passed.
Again, YOU MUST REGISTER BEFORE APPEARING IF YOU WANT TO SPEAK!
In Liberty,
Luis Valdes

P.S. Please share this alert to every Florida Patriot that you know and donate to Gun Owners of America. Also, don’t forget to call Gov. DeSantis (850-717-9337 & 850-488-7146) and tell him thank you for supporting Open Carry.
